"Adagio" has been a trusted supplier of quality Pop/Jazz music for Corporate and Special events since 2000. Paul McGrath has worked in the Greater Toronto Area with many musical venues and groups for a number of years. He founded Adagio when the first Canadian Smooth Jazz radio station WAVE 94.7 in Hamilton, Ontario went to air in September 2000. Following many transformations, "Adagio" continues to grow as a popular first choice at many musical events, crossing stylistic boundaries with ease. It remains, however, rooted in the Pop/Jazz sound of artists such as Kenny G, David Sanborn, Dave Koz, George Benson, Chris Botti, Rick Braun, Al Jarreau, and Micheal Franks. "Adagio" also offers a smattering of standards and traditional jazz to enhance the mix.
As "Music Director" for the Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival for the last 6 years Paul has met and been associated with a number of International Artists throughout North America. He was the driving force in introducing Smooth Jazz to the well-known traditional Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival that is now in it's 15th year, and drawing crowds in excess of 60,000 people. This musical event has quickly become the Musician's festival of choice.
In September of 2006 Paul returned to his hometown of Port Elgin to continue his musical journey while working on his latest CD project and to introduce Smooth Jazz to the Grey/Bruce area. He continues to work both here and in the GTA.
